Pipo was known for his fierce loyalty, dedication to his wife Magaly “Maggie”, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and his unwavering support to his friends and church community.
Alberto met the love of his life Magaly “Maggie” and they were married on May 19, 1960. Pipo and Magaly went on to have a remarkable life with four beautiful children: Alfredo Puig, Natalia Puig, Enriqueta Puig Padron, and Lazara Puig Fuentes, 8 Grandchildren and 10 Great-Grandchildren. Alberto immigrated to the United States in October of 1962 to find work and to be able to bring his family from Cuba. That dream came true in November of 1965.

Pipo and Magaly lived in Boston, New Jersey, and Lake Worth during their magical 62-year marriage, filled with endless family meals, incredible dance moves, holiday parties, birthday celebrations that always included a lengthy lesson from him as to “Let me tell you why Communism is bad and nobody wants to work these days! When I come from Cuba, I had nothing, but I could work!”, and endless travels that took Pipo and Magaly all over the United States and Europe. Pipo was a devout Catholic with years of services to La Cofradia Nuestra Señora de la Caridad del Cobre as a catechism teacher, alter server, volunteer and humanitarian. Pipo was a proud American but also found happiness is telling stories of his life and family in Cuba; fondly recalling his baseball career, love of boxing and fishing in the Caribbean. Alberto was also known as a man you could always count on. He was a beloved husband, an incredible father, a doting grandfather, and loyal friend. Alberto leaves behind a legacy of incredible lessons of past personal history and teachings of quality morals and how hard work ethic leads you to more opportunities, and an example of a life rooted in Christ, will lead you to living your best life.
