September 3, 1981 was one of the happiest days in the Georghiou family. That was the day we welcome to this world a healthy handsome boy. My grandfather, Constantine, a veteran of El Alamein, Tobrook and the battle of Crete had just passed away. Angella, my aging grandmother, asked that we honor Pappou and name the boy Constantine. Our beloved Constantine very quickly became Dean for short, a name that his sisters Angella and Lenia bestowed upon him quickly. The smile, the generosity, the kindness and his respectful attitude were his trades throughout his relatively short life. At Breezy Point kindergarten his teacher referred to him as the mayor showing sincere interest in all the other kids and making sure they were content and happy. Throughout his years at Council Rock Dean was in the gifted program. As an IT and Network Certified professional Dean was proficient and well liked by his co- workers. His raw intelligence, his smile and his sense of humor were with him till the end when an acute myocardial infraction took him away from us. January 9, 2018, will be for ever the saddest day in our family. To people who met him he was the nicest guy you would ever like to meet. Smiling and always wanting to help others. He was loved by all that knew him.
We ask friends and relatives to send contributions to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 5201 Blue Lagoon Drive, #650, Miami, Florida 33126 in Dean’s memory because he so loved children.
