

Blake Ecclestone Erdmann, born February 1, 1999, died in his sleep on the morning of January 25, 2021, in Chestertown, MD. Blake was a Junior at Washington College who majored in Business Management and Minored in Marketing, while playing Varsity Lacrosse for the Shoremen.
Blake led a full life, always surrounded by close friends, family and teammates who loved and cherished their time with the KING of Fun. He was fiercely loyal quick to stand up against what he saw as unfair or hurtful.
Blake rarely sat still, seemingly always on his way somewhere be it class, practice, or more importantly the Bahamas for fishing and diving, or the wilds of central Florida to hunt. He was fortunate to have traveled the world with his family; South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Hungary, Austria, England, Germany, Italy, Argentina, Chile, the Caribbean and his beloved Bahamas.
Over the years Blake earned a number of accolades and awards including the Benjamin Buccaneer Award upon graduation from The Benjamin School, the four-year William Smith Academic Scholarship given at Washington College along with numerous athletic awards during his years playing Varsity Lacrosse at The Benjamin School, The Trinity-Pauling School, and Washington College.
Blake is survived by father Peter Bennett Erdmann, mother Lisa Ecclestone Erdmann, brother Christopher Bennett Erdmann, grandparents Sally and John Grieb, E. Llwyd and Diana Ecclestone, grandmother Naomi Bennett Erdmann, along with uncles, aunts and cousins, E. Llwyd, III and Tricia Ecclestone, Emily, Elizabeth, Edwin and Erin Ecclestone, John and Laura Ecclestone, Jack, Sara, Megan, Ecclestone, Jackson, and Raegan Miller, Andrew and Petra Erdmann, Isabelle, and Dwight Erdmann, and two loving dogs Zoe and Tyson.
There will be a private family service. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted at a later date for a Scholarship Fund established in Blake Erdmann’s name at The Benjamin School.
