Brígida Del Carmen Pérez

Brigida is survived by Cesar Augusto Castellanos, her partner of 36 years, her daughters, Yohanna Isabel and Claudia Carolina Castellanos, Adriana Carolina Castellanos Goldfarb, and her husband Mitchell Goldfarb, her grandchildren, Nicolas Wolf and Sabrina Gabriela Golfarb, and her siblings Jorge Isaac, Javier Rafael, Beatriz del Rosario, Juan Guillermo, and Jesús Alberto Pérez Prado.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Carmen Margarita Pérez, her father, José Heriberto Perez, and her siblings, Juan Carlos and José Ángel Pérez Prado.

The family immigrated to the United States to educate their daughters in this country. In Miami, Brigida found her passion for cooking, an art she pursued professionally, becoming a Pastry Chef requested by various local restaurants. Her family members and friends loved all her recipes, but there is one ingredient they will always remember from her kitchen—and it is LOVE!

Brigida not only enjoyed cooking, but also loved Christmas, flowers (sunflowers and orchids were her favorites!), painting, decorating, arts and crafts, and to host parties for her friends and family. We will never forget her beloved Sancocho parties. She also loved music and celebrations—and you could always find her on the dance floor at the end of the night.

Brigida leaves a void in the hearts of her cousins, aunts, uncles, sisters and brothers-in-law, and in the heart of a large group of friends and extended family in Venezuela, the United States, and all over the world.

We will miss your delicious Hallacas, Brigida!

Brígida Pérez Castellanos nació en Maracaibo, Venezuela, el 19 de enero de 1966, y se fue al cielo el 6 de agosto de 2022. En la mañana de su partida, estaba rodeada de sus seres queridos.

A Brígida le sobreviven César Castellanos, su pareja de 36 años, sus hijas, Yohanna Isabel y Claudia Carolina Castellanos, Adriana Carolina Castellanos Goldfarb, y su esposo Mitchell Goldfarb, sus nietos, Nicolás Wolf y Sabrina Gabriela Golfarb, y sus hermanos Jorge Isaac, Javier Rafael, Beatriz del Rosario, Juan Guillermo, and Jesús Alberto Pérez Prado.

Le preceden en la muerte su madre, Carmen Margarita Pérez, su padre, José Heriberto Perez, y sus hermanos, Juan Carlos, y José Ángel Pérez Prado.

La familia emigró a los Estados Unidos para educar a sus hijas en este país. Fue en Miami donde Brigida descubrió su pasión por la cocina, un arte que persiguió profesionalmente, convirtiéndose en una repostera solicitada por varios restaurantes locales. Su cocina fue disfrutada por sus familiares y amistades, pero hay un ingrediente que siempre recordarán de su cocina, ¡y es el AMOR!

Brígida no solo disfrutaba cocinar, pero también amaba la Navidad, las flores (¡las orquídeas y los girasoles eran sus favoritos!), la pintura, la decoración, las artes y manualidades, y entretener a sus amigos y familiares. Nunca olvidaremos sus queridas fiestas de Sancocho. También disfrutaba de la música y las celebraciones, y le encantaba bailar.

Brígida deja un vacío en los corazones de sus primos, tías, tíos, cuñadas, cuñados, y en el corazón de un gran grupo de amigos y familiares en Venezuela, Estados Unidos, y todo el mundo.

¡Las Hallacas nunca sabrán igual, Brígida!
