

Cesar began his life on April 6, 1931 in Jicotea, Santa Clara, Cuba to the late Mr. Ramiro Figueroa and the late Mrs. Concepcion (nee Roqueta) Figueroa. Cesar was educated in Cuba and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture and worked as an Agronomist before relocating to the United States of America to pursue his dream. He also worked in the Construction Trade and Maintenance Engineering for a number of years . He was highly active fighting for the political rights and plight of Cuban Americans and was a lifelong member of the CID. Cesar was a Christian Man and was most certainly a man of principle with a great sense of humor. Cesar went home to join his grandson in Heaven on June 12, 2012 at the age of 81 years. He will be forever loved and missed by all his family and friends. He leaves behind to cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife, Mercedes Figueroa of Lantana, FL; his loved children, Marlene Ross and her beau, Vince Batista of Boynton Beach, FL, Mercedes Jakola and husband, Bill of Yorktown, VA, Cesar Figueroa, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Laurie Figueroa both of Lake Worth, FL; one grandson in heaven since 2007, Cesar Figueroa, III; three granddaughters, Olivia Figueroa of Lake Worth, FL, Kaitlyn Jakola of Evanston, IL and Rebekah Jakola of Yorktown, VA; and his brother, Daniel Figueroa and wife, Marina of Lake Worth, FL. He is also survived by many other loving family members and close friends.
