Clive A. Abrahams

Clive Anthony Abrahams was born in Chapelton, Clarendon, Jamaica, on October 21, 1937. He was the third of five siblings. Clive had a deep passion for design and decorating which won numerous awards for the beautiful window displays he created while working at La Parisienne Store in Kingston, Jamaica.

In addition to his creative talents, Clive would also DJ. He was passionate about music and enjoyed entertaining crowds at weddings and parties under the name “Universal Hi-Fi.” and was well known for his signature sign-off song, “Good Night Sweetheart,” which he always played to end his music sessions.

Clive was a joyful soul who loved to make people laugh. His sense of humor, storytelling, and vibrant personality could fill any room with love and life. Proud of his Jamaican roots, he was also an excellent cook—always preparing something delicious for family and friends to enjoy.

He had a great love for cricket, often spending weekends playing in the street or at the nearest park with family, friends, and neighbors.

Clive was the son of the late Cecil and Leopradine D. Abrahams (nee Logan). He was the cherished brother to Calvin Abrahams, Etta Brown, Joy (Conrad) Cooke and was predeceased by sister Valerie Coombs. He was the beloved father of 5 children: Hayley Abrahams, Javin Abrahams Sr., Shelley Abrahams, Tricia (Jeffrey) Barton, Karlene Abrahams and his legacy will continue to live on through his 8 grandchildren: Javin Abrahams Jr., Nathaniel Abrahams, Richard Matthews III, Brandon Barton, Kyle Barton, Sydney Matthews, Darnai Coombs, Devyn Barton and Great-granddaughter Amora Abrahams.

His spirit will forever guide us and his memory will forever be a blessing.

A visitation will be held at Royal Palm Funeral Home, located at 5601 Greenwood Ave, West Palm Beach, FL 33407, on November 8, 2025, from 10:00 am to 10:45 am .Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life Service will take place at the same venue, starting at 10:45 am. The committal service is scheduled for 12:00 pm at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens, 5601 Greenwood Ave, West Palm Beach, FL 33407.
