

Diane was born on September 27, 1943, in West Palm Beach, Florida, the daughter of Turner and Charlie (Tilden) Hailey. She was a lifelong resident of Palm Beach County. Diane was predeceased by her husband John William Wallace in 2019 and her beautiful granddaughter, Bailey Brooke Theel in 2020. Diane was survived by her devoted children, John “Jay” W. Wallace, Jr. (Annette), David M. Wallace (Vicki) and Melissa “Missy” Theel (James), her loving grandchildren Casey Wallace and Hayden Theel. Diane was also survived by her dear sister, Jackie Morris.
In her early years, Diane graduated from Palm Beach High School. For 23 years, Diane worked as a dental hygienist. From there, she went on to work at the Palm Beach Bath and Tennis Club, working there for several years in member services. Diane was a true socializer, often hosting lunches and dinner parties. She was a fantastic cook and will always be remembered for her signature dishes: fried pork chops, mashed potatoes and gravy, coleslaw, and fried fish. Diane was considered a “foodie”. She loved to eat. Amongst all, Diane will always be remembered for being sweet and happy to all. She will be missed forever by her family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, from 10:00 – 11:45 AM at Quattlebaum Funeral, Cremation & Event Center at Hillcrest Memorial Park. There, Diane will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband.
