
Born February 9, 1931 (birth name Edna Faith Collins), Faith was an only child, but had 10 uncles and aunts and grew up in a big family of coal miners in the small town of Scarbro, West Virginia. A graduate of Oak Hill High School and the School of Nursing at Virginia Commonwealth University, Faith pursued a career as a registered nurse in Charlottesville, VA, Evansville, IN and Miami, FL, worked at CARP (Comprehensive Alcohol Rehabilitation Program) in West Palm Beach, and ultimately was the nurse epidemiologist (infection control coordinator) for Doctors Hospital in Lake Worth, FL. After retirement, Faith was active with her church, the Unitarian Universalists of North Palm Beach, and her residential community, The Waterford.
Faith was predeceased by her husband Robert Vance Pratt (renowned UFO researcher 'Bob Pratt') and their son Robert Scott Pratt, and is survived by son Alan Collins Pratt. Although Faith had no siblings, Carolyn Denton was her best friend for more than 40 years and was there for Faith until she passed. Faith was an avid bridge player, a voracious reader of novels, and wrote a romance novel. Faith was a lively conversationalist, had a great sense of humor, was loyal to her friends and will be missed by many.
Faith will be interred with her deceased son Robert Pratt, in a small private ceremony January 15th, 2024.
