Edward Lee Rich born February 16, 1947 in Durham, NC, to the late Gladys A. Rich. Edward was educated in the Palm Beach School system, graduating from Roosevelt High School, where he was a basketball star and Florida A&M University in 1969 with a degree in Business Administration. He was a member of Pride of Palm Beach # 447 Masonic Lodge PHA and the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. Edward was married to the late Thelma Lee White and to this union was born two children, Corey M. Rich and Dionne A. Rich He served as a faithful member and was ordained a Deacon (1995) of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, West Palm Beach, Florida, until his transition on September 5, 2014. Edward worked for Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners Department of Community Services as Director. He retired after 35 years of service, dedicated to community improvement. He leaves to celebrate his life his children, Corey, Dionne, and Michael R. Barber (Connie), Birmingham, Alabama; grandchildren, Tony, Michael A. and Bonnie; sister, JoAnn Rich Watson (Otha), Neptune, NJ; brother-in-law, Walter S. White, Jr.; sister-in-law, Gwendolyn Todd; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 13, 2014, 10 A.M. at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, 801 8th Street, West Palm Beach, Florida. Family will receive friends Friday, September 12, 2014, 4 to 8 P.M. at Royal Palm Funeral Home, 5601 Greenwood Avenue, West Palm Beach, Florida. Interment to follow in Royal Palm Memorial Gardens.
