Elizabeth Alvira (Mercurio) Furkart of West Palm Beach, FL passed peacefully on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at Vitas Hospice of Good Samaritan Hospital. She was 84 years old. Elizabeth was born and raised in East Boston, MA, and lived in West Palm Beach for 30 years. Preceded by her husband Richard P. Furkart, they were married for 54 years. Elizabeth leaves her children Sandra Aniceto-Masters (Furkart), Audrey Miller (Furkart), and Paula Sirois-Plasencia (Furkart); six grandchildren, Alex and Stacie Aniceto of Milford, MA, Adrien Aniceto of Golden, CO, Jordan Miller of Washington, D.C., Sydney Miller of New York City, Coco Plasencia of Wellesley, MA, and Cruz Plasencia of Boston, MA, and two great-grandchildren, Ava and Logan Aniceto of Milford, MA.
Elizabeth and her late husband were world travelers. They shared a fondness for musical theatre. Elizabeth was an avid Mahjong player and movie buff.
Elizabeth will rest beside her husband at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens on Thursday, November 9, 2023 @12:00pm.
