Grandma, 
I can't beleive it has been a year since you have left us. We are all doing fine, Brian and I got to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary with mom and dad. Your great great grandson Colton will be starting pre-school in Sept. He is getting so big, I'm so glad you got to meet him. We all love and miss you and grandpa.

Mom,
Yesterday most of the family got together, (unfortunately the Pearlmans & Jana weren't there) Louise had us over because Richard and the kids were in.  Since we had Yahrzeit for you, you were on our minds. Everyone spoke a little something that stood out in their memory. All of your grandchildren and their spouses had something to say.It made us laugh and cry. The bottom line is  We all miss you very much. Of course we all miss Dad also.
I love you and miss you both.

well mom it is a year since you died.The time has pasted quickly.  Alot of things kept me busy.  I am very active in the shul now, even Barney is a member and I am getting him involve.  I don't think I will be going to New York any more.  We were just there and I cut my time in half.  So if my sisters want to see me they have to come to Florida.  Barney can't do all the steps in there house.  I miss you very much  You are still getting mail and I just recieved notice that your handicapped card is expireing.  I know you and dad look down on us with a smile and say everyone is doing well.  You both are missed very much.  I love you both. Bye for now.

Mom,
I am sitting at the computer and thinking of you.  I just went into the bank account to pay some bills.  Your account is still open.  I still get mail for you, it is all junk mail but it has your name on it.  I just took you off of y speed dailing on the phone.  So I figure I would write to you since I can't call you.
I didn't relize how much time I spent with you each day.  You filled my time with gladness.  I have happy memories with you.
I have been going to service on Friday and Sat. now.  I have peace when I go and think of the time you and your sisters sat with me.  I say a prayer for all of you every Shabbat.

Dear Great Grandma,
Although I don't have have many strong memories of you,I do have one very strong one. I went to the zoo with you, Mom, Aunt Estelle, Gavin and Ethan. Gavin broke his leg so he was in your extra wheelchair. I got to push you, mom pushed Gavin, and Aunt Estelle pushed Ethan in his stroller. You and Gavin were Wheelchair buddies! It was so funny.I wanted to push you because I always was with Ethan when he was in his stroller but we just got to West Palm Beach that day and I wanted to talk with you. You had so much fun seeing the animals! You will always be in my heart. I will miss visiting you when I go to Florida. You have proven to be old and wise. Not to mention being funny, kind, warm hearted and gracious. You left a permanant print in all of our hearts and filled with your memories and love. You will be in our hearts forever.

It was good to talk to each cousin; Estelle, Louise, Sally and Diane and reminisce about our shared childhood.  Who is keeping up the tradition of baking lemon meringue pies?  It all seems so long ago.  We are the matriarchy now- aint' that scary?

This past May,I asked Mom if I should stay in Florida till after Mothers' Day.  I was undecided.  She said that I should leave.  It was allright with her.  

A friend of mine reminded me that Mom probably wouldn't have too many more Mothers' Days.  I decided to stay and celebrate with Mom.

When I told her, she said she was glad.  I asked her why she didn't say so.  She said "I wouldn't do that"

We had a wonderful day.

The qualities I admired most was her strength,energy and resilience.  I have tried to emulate those traits and pass them on to my children.

You will always be in my heart! I am keeping this short just like you would have wanted!

Both my parents made me what I am today, but it was you, mom that instilled in me to be independent, self reliant and to be strong.  You never wanted to be a burden on anyone and therefore throughout your 94 years you gave to us everything you and daddy can offer and never expected anything in return.  I hope that we have paid you back:  No not in money, but with loving children and grandchildren that you could be proud of and with memories that were worth more than money.   Those wonderful memories of joyful times together will live on within your daughters, your son-in-laws, your grandchildren, your great grandchildren and maybe even in the brief time you had with your great-great grandchild.  We will cherish the memories forever.  We all love you mom and know that it is your time to Rest in Peace, you deserve it!

Dear Grandma,
There are many memories that your family and friends still have of you and will always have of you.  In these memories you will live on.  But, more than that, you left an incredible legacy.  Four daughters, ten grandchildren, twenty+ great grandchildren and still growing and even a great great grandchild.  You have left so much behind and you accomplished more than you would ever give yourself credit for.  You are a part of all of us.  The influence you had on many of us is indelible.  

Over the years I have regularly looked back to one day when my mom was interviewing grandpa about his life.  I was filming it on a video camera (back in the olden days when you needed more than just a phone) and after we got through talking with grandpa, my mom asked what grandma's childhood was like.  Her answer was "I had no childhood!"  That's it.  Answer done.  It was very sad to hear that she felt that she had not had that part of her life.  That she did not have or did not want to recall any fond memories.  She did not really share with us why she felt so strongly that her childhood did not exist.  But, now that we can all look back on your life, no matter what you said of your childhood, you definitely HAD an adulthood.  One where you were such a big part of so many lives.  You were important, grandma!!!  Your life had meaning because it had meaning to all of us.  We are better people because of you and what you gave to us in your love (and baking).  We will miss you.  I will miss you!  I love you grandma and will never forget the times me, Risa and my kids had with you.  Not to mention all those great times growing up with my aunts, uncles and cousins.

Be at peace!  You deserve it!

I feel so fortunate to have known and loved Grandma Cohn.  It was so very special to watch our kids spend time with her and the joy she exuded in getting to know all of them.  Thanks for being part of our lives all this time- we will all always remember and always love you!!

Dear Grandma
I am thankful that I was able to have you As one of the main caretakers of my early life. By the time I was 4 you had already instilled the strong values of family in me, which I continue each day to try tob instill into my children. I would not be the woman that I am today if it weren't for the beliefs and respect for others that you showed me. My children and I will miss you dearly, and although the matriarch of our family is gone, what you taught us will live on in each and every one of US for generations to come.

Mom I will miss all the good times and not so good times with you.  I have 70 years of memories with you and Dad.  I will miss getting phone calls telling me your phone is off the hook.  Having the the things you baked when you were expecting company.  Everytime you came to Spokane with the bake good because our water was different and it had a different texture and taste.  You gave Phyllis and I recipes and it never tasted like yours.

To a woman that I have the most respect and admiration for;
I wanted to come and say goodbye, but I now must focus on the new lives I'm building and molding. I will miss you, and carry fond memories of you and Grandpa in my heart forever. The summers we've spent together when I was young mean so much to me now. You made a large imprint on my life and I really am lucky and honored to be your Grandaughter and a Cohn.

It was my pleasure & honor to celebrate Grandma's 90th Birthday with her and her family. She will be missed by her loved ones.

To think we will never spend time together and you with the family again saddens me greatly.  I have been coming to West Palm Beach at least once per year since 1980.
