Ethel I. Mathis, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 2011 at the Okeechobee Health Care Facility in Okeechobee, FL. Ethel was born in Chesapeake, Maryland on January 17, 1920 to her beloved parents, Archie T. Moore and Alice (nee Dutton) Moore. Mrs. Mathis was a quaint lady, who had a beautiful smile, a kind heart and generosity beyond her means. She will be forever loved and missed by her family and friends, another Angel has joined the choir in Heaven!
Friends may call from 6PM - 8PM, on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at Mizell-Faville-Zern Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 6411 Paker Ave., West Palm Beach, FL 33405. A Celebration of Life service for Ethel will take place on Friday, March 25, 2011 at the funeral home with her son, Robert Mathis speaking and providing devotional prayers and meditational words of comfort to honor his mother's memory. Committal and final rites will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park, West Palm Beach, FL.
