
Eugene “Buddy” Albert, age 92 of Lake Worth, Florida passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2022. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri to Harry and Henrietta Albert. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. His parents moved to West Palm Beach, Florida in October 1950 and operated Albert’s Shoes on Clematis Street in West Palm Beach and on Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach, Florida. He joined his family in 1955 after he graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, MO where he received a Bachelor Business Administration Degree. He entered the University of Miami and received his Law Degree in 1958. He practiced Law in Miami, Florida, where in 1961 he was appointed a Special Assistant Attorney General. He moved his practice to Lake Worth, Florida so he could be closer to his family. He was appointed a Special Master in the Collection Court of Palm Beach County. He was a Certified Family Court Mediator and represented abused and neglected children in Juvenile Court for four years until he was appointed a Magistrate in Palm Beach County Traffic Court, where he served for ten years. His beloved brother Bob Operated Albert’s Shoes and the Red Cross Shoe Stores in South Florida until he passed away on June 9, 2006. Buddy is survived by his nephew, Gregg; his niece Jill and her two beautiful children and his niece Ashlee and her two beautiful children. He will be sorely missed by his many friends and his family, especially his nephew and nieces who considered him their second father after the death of his brother. He loved his family with all his heart and soul and always looked forward to the day when he would be united with them again.
