Frances T. Schmidt

Frances Thompson Schmidt of West Pam Beach passed away on September 4, 2013 at the age of 95. She was born in Swainsboro, Georgia on July 7, 1918. Early in her career Frances served as a nurse, and later as a florist. She was married to Robert Johnson until his death in 1963. She was then married to George Schmidt until his death in 1986. She enjoyed poetry and was a lifetime member of the Orchid Society of The Palm Beaches. She was also a member of the West Palm Beach Garden Club. She is survived by her three children; Susan Price (Chuck) of TN, Carol Vella (John) of SC, and Joel Johnson of Boynton Beach, FL. She leaves three Grandchildren; Jan Price-Jones (Keith), C. Scott Price, and Jillian Johnson, and two Great Grandchildren; Michael and Aaron Jones. Through the years, Frances was a dedicated member of several churches in West Palm Beach including; First Baptist, Northwood Baptist, Gold Coast Baptist, and Gateway Community Church in Boynton Beach.Family and friends will gather and pay their respects on Monday, September 9, 2013 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Mizell-Faville-Zern Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 6411 Parker Ave., West Palm Beach, FL 33405, (561) 833-4061 and a Celebration of Life Service to be held from 10:30 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Committal Service in Hillcrest Memorial Park, West Palm Beach Florida.
