Howard F. Kelley 77 of West Palm Beach, FL passed away Thursday, May 26, 2011. “Kelley” (or sometimes Bubba) as he liked to be called, was born May 18, 1934 in Miami, FL, but he spent most of his childhood and young adult years in Charleston, SC. He married and returned to FL in the late 1950’s to the Palm Beach County area to start his family and his career as an electrician. He moved to Mississippi and Alabama for several years where he worked in shipyards and on oil rigs. He returned to FL and worked for many years as an Electrical Inspector for the City of West Palm Beach until he retired just last year. It was there that he formed a great bond with his dear friend Jake Leahy. He is survived by his two children, daughter Lorie Kelley of West Palm Beach and son Christopher Kelley of Lake Worth. He also leaves behind many adoring family members as well as his companion of the last 19 years, Earlene Cottrell of Lake Worth. Howard is predeceased by his two daughters, Lanie and Carol Ann and his parents, Cornelia and Howard F. Kelley, Sr. Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
