

Jim was born and raised in Miami, Florida. He graduated from Miami Central High School, and went on to earn a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from the University of Miami and a Masters of Taxation degree from Florida International University. Jim practiced accounting for over 50 years, obtaining his Certified Public Accountant License in 1976. In 1994, Jim founded Bradford & Associates, P.A. and served as the managing partner, helping scores of people until his retirement in 2023. Jim served the community as a Scout Master in the Boy Scouts of America, youth baseball coach, and member of Horizon Baptist Church. He loved being out on the ocean, fishing rod in hand, big goofy hat on his head.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Joan Lyndell Bradford; brother Ted Bradford; five sons Ron Simmons, Jerry (Cindy) Simmons, Robert (Kathy) Bradford, Jimmy (Lucie) Bradford, and David (Emmi) Bradford; and eight grandchildren, Sarah, Matthew, Emmalynn, Eliana, Maverick, Colton, Brielle, and Noah.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Quattlebaum Funeral, Cremation, and Event Center, 6411 Parker Ave, West Palm Beach, FL 33405. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, with a service following at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project in honor of James N Bradford, Jr. is warmly appreciated.
