James Arnold Carr, age 81, of West Palm Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 12, 2024. Born on September 20, 1942, in West Point, NY, James was the eldest of four sons to Arnold and Anne Carr. His life was marked by dedication, love, and a remarkable sense of humor that endeared him to all who knew him.
James proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant after 20 years of dedicated service. Beyond his professional achievements, James was a martial arts black belt, a skilled handyman, and an accomplished woodworker. His wit and lively humor, coupled with a unique gift for connecting with children, made him beloved by many.
An avid lover of the outdoors, James relished jogging, camping, and fishing, especially when shared with his sons, Michael and Tony, instilling in them a deep appreciation for the natural world. These moments in nature fostered a deep bond, filled with memories that will be cherished forever.
James's life was beautifully shared with his wife, Carrie Marie Driscoll, until her passing in 2011. Their partnership was a profound example of love and mutual respect. Together, they created a family legacy rich in laughter, wisdom, and love.
James is lovingly remembered by his son, Michael; daughter-in-law, Allison; his grandchildren, Bennett and Courtney; his two remaining brothers, John and Edward Carr; and numerous nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carrie, his son, Tony, and his parents, Arnold and Anne Carr.
James's life will be celebrated on Saturday, April 6, at 10:00 a.m., at Hillcrest Memorial Park . The family invites all who remember him, to celebrate the beautiful moments he created, the lives he touched, and the natural beauty he so deeply cherished.
