

He was born September 25, 1940 in Jersey City, New Jersey, the son of Frank DeMarco Sr. and Mary DiBiase DeMarco.
He was a 1960 graduate of Valley Forge Military Academy, Valley Forge, PA where he earned an Associate Degree. He was also a 1958 graduate of Belleville High School, Belleville, NJ.
Before retiring in 2006, he was employed by the Home Depot, Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Prior to moving to Florida in 1989, he had a long career as an insurance underwriter with the Home Insurance Company, East Orange, NJ and Royal Insurance, East Hanover, NJ.
John enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, swimming, boating and summers on Long Beach Island, NJ. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #2010, Palm Beach Gardens, FL. He will be remembered for the love he had for his family and his love of socializing with people.
John is survived by his two daughters and their husbands, Kim and David Oney of Hartford, OH and Judy and John Gebhard of Rockaway, NJ as well as his three grandchildren Justin, Heather, and Gracie and his brother Franklyn deMarco Jr, Palm Beach, FL.
He is also survived by his sister-in-law Kathie Fortunato and brother-in-law Peter Fortunato Jr. of Bayville, NJ and brother-in-law Robert Stewart along with many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
John was preceded by his loving wife, Carol, of 57 years, his parents Frank and Mary DeMarco, his father and mother-in law, William and Lillian Beyer, his brother-in-law, Charles William Beyer and three sister-in-laws, Edna Stewart, Jean Beyer, and Anna Mae Beyer.
A memorial service was held on Friday, July 31st at 11:00 at Gate of Heaven, Our Lady of The Rosary Chapel Mausoleum, East Hanover, NJ. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the National Kidney Foundation at www.kidney.org.
