Juan always had a warm smile and a warm heart. I’m grateful that I ran into him at the courthouse just this past January while I was downtown. Even though I had not seen him during my past eight years of retirement, he greeted me with a big friendly hug and we had the opportunity to catch up for a few minutes. I am so sorry that he is gone and extend condolences to both his personal and his courthouse family.

Juan, you were jovial. It would be hard to pass by and not see you smiling or being at a distance and still hear your voice. You will always be remembered by the experiences we shared with you, mostly your willingness to help others. My deepest sympathies to your family. You will be missed my friend.

In fifteen years of working with Tamayo I cannot remember a single time when he was not smiling. He was dedicated to his work and he was a loyal friend to all. His sense of humor and his jovial personality will be deeply missed. Despite his constant joking, he was a true professional with great talent in his field. We all relied on him and he never let us down. The courthouse is a darker place without you. My sincerest condolences to the Tamayo family. Our family mourns with yours.

Juan Tamayo was a top-notch IT expert and just a really fine man. He was always smiling and happy as he helped us in the West Palm Beach Federal Courthouse with our numerous technology issues. Just a few short days before his untimely passing, he was helping me in my chambers with remote hearings and other computer issues. His family and friends should know that he was well liked and greatly respected. He will be missed.
