Kelvin Luna was born on February 18, 1986 in the Bronx, New York to his eagerly awaiting parents, Mr. Rafael E. Luna and Mrs. Milagros Torres. Kelvin and his family moved to the bright and sunshiny West Palm Beach, Florida area in 1989 to begin a new life basking in the warm weather. Kelvin attended Forest Hill High School and eventually finished his High School Education at John I. Leonard graduating with the Class of 2004. During his elementary and high school days, Kelvin excelled in Sports and played on the Baseball and Basketball Teams at his respective schools. He also excelled quite well in one of his Liberal Arts courses which were Math; Kelvin was smart enough to figure out that numbers don't lie and that they are always true in existence. He was a Gifted Student and loved to learn and attain a good education. After graduation from High School, Kelvin continued on with his education eventually matriculating and receiving his Associates Degree at Palm Beach State College and then continuing on at the FAU Campus and working towards his Bachelor's Degree. During the time of acquiring his education, Kelvin worked as a Customer Service Representative at various allied sales departments in the South Florida area. Kelvin's greatest love was his Father and Mother and he looked after them with total respect and honor; he provided for whatever need that he could assist them with; albeit monetarily, emotionally, spiritually. He was a "Rock" and testament to living up to the fifth commandment of God's Holy Covenant to forever honor thy mother and father in spite of any and all challenges that might come his way. Kelvin was also a very giving and selfless person; always giving of himself to others despite what the request or obligation might be for him. He had a warm heart that shone through his tall, handsome and rugged exterior; he never missed an opportunity to shine, always maintaining an immaculate well groomed and well-dressed appearance for others. Kelvin lived up to the word of the Psalmist as taught in Psalm 103:13-22, “As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him; for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust. As for man, his days are like grass, he flourishes like a flower of the field; the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more. But from everlasting to everlasting the LORD's love is with those who fear him and his righteousness with their children's children-- with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts. The LORD has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all. Praise the LORD, you his angels, you mighty ones who do his bidding, who obey his word. Praise the LORD, all his heavenly hosts, you his servants who do his will. Praise the LORD, all his works everywhere in his dominion. Praise the LORD, O my soul." Kelvin, "May Angels watch over you and lead you from the Darkness into the Light of God's presence and salvation, forever more.... AMEN!" Kelvin has departed this earthly place on February 18, 2014 and entered into the Celestial Kingdom of God for Kelvin has gone on to prepare rooms in that Mansion in the Heavens not made with Hands from stone, Eternal in the Heavens forever awaiting the arrival of his honored father, Rafael E.
