

Leander Scott Sims, affectionately known to family and friends as “Scott”, was born on February 14th, 1971 in Manhattan, New York to Deirdre and Virgil Sims.
When Scott was just 5 years old, he lost his biological father, Virgil Sims, in a tragic accident. He was subsequently raised by Melvin Harris when his mother remarried.
He attended Springfield High School, in Queens, New York, and was a proud graduate of the class of 1988. It was during these years that he discovered his passion for music and music production and continued those passions as he attended the University of Michigan.
As an adult, he excelled in his career as an Anti Drug and Alcohol professional for over 20 years.
Scott was a loyal and amazing person and was loved by everyone he knew and met. He enjoyed making people laugh and smile and his personality made him truly unforgettable.
Scott is survived by his son Jalen Scott, daughter Jeslyn Sierah, stepdaughters Chasiti Alyze, Atlantis Mireya and Skai Amani, his sister Jamila Arline, his nephew Blake James and his parents Deirdre and Melvin Harris. Scott also leaves a host of loving family and friends to cherish and honor his memory.
