Leo Yale Fleur

FLEUR--Leo Yale, of Palm Beach, FL and New York City, died January 5th after a brief illness. He was 93 years old. Born in New York City to the late Edna and Joseph Fleur, Leo received his undergraduate degree from New York University and his Masters degree from Columbia University. He served honorably as a Sergeant in Headquarters Battery HDOFC in Panama during WWII. After the war, Leo built a successful career in the securities industry. In 1967 he founded Wall Street Training International, the first securities exam preparation training school in the United States. In addition to writing all of the course material for his firm, he authored "Selling Securities Successfully." Over the next two decades, he trained thousands of individuals for careers in the financial sector. Leo will be remembered as a true gentlemen. A singer of classical music, especially opera, lover of fine food, good books and a game of golf, Leo charmed all with his warm wit and engaging stories. Traveling with his beloved wife Leona, he collected friends across the country and around the world. Leo and Leona (the "love of his life") were married for 63 years. She survives him as does his son, Edward, Edward's wife Mary, and his adored grandchildren, Edna Louise and James. In addition to his parents, Leo was predeceased by his brother Martin and daughter Joette Stephanie. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 9th, at 10:00am at the Riverside Memorial Chapel, 5411 Okeechobee Blvd., West Palm Beach, FL. Burial will be Friday, January 11th at 11:00am at Mt. Ararat Cemetery in East Farmingdale, New York. Donations may be made to Temple Emanu-El, Palm Beach, FL The Fleur Family will be receiving friends immediately after the service Wednesday at 3390 S. Ocean Blvd, #304, Palm Beach. On Sunday they will be receiving friends after the service at 271-18V Grand Central Parkway, Floral Park, NY (North Shore Towers)

On behalf of my daughters, Helene, Evie, and Marigny, our family wants to offer our deepest sympathy and condolences to Leona, Ed and Mary, and James and Edna, on the loss of their beloved husband, father, father-in-law, and grandfather. Leo had a remarkable life and was blessed with a great wife and family. We are keeping all of you in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
