Leroy Osbourne, age 80, of Lake Worth, Florida, died Sunday morning, March 20, 2022 surrounded by family at his side. Born April 29, 1941, in Spanish Town, Jamaica, he was the son of the late Thaddeus Osbourne and Gwendolyn (Bennett) Osbourne.
Leroy is survived by his wife Florence, children, and many grandchildren. Leroy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to everyone.
He worked as an Assistant Supervisor for over 30 years at Royal Palm Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, but was forced to give up the job he loved due to his health. He was an accomplished welder and auto mechanic. He spent his free time working in the garden or tinkering on some project at home. He also enjoyed watching old time movies (especially westerns). He enjoyed chinese food and his nightly snack of purposefully melted ice cream. Leroy was always there to help relatives and friends with projects, cleverly known as "Mr. Fix it".
A special thank you to the people at Vitas Hospice for their loving care and support during his final days. Also, the family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude towards Royal Palm Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens for being very accommodating and understanding during this difficult time.
A visitation for Leroy "Jackie" Osbourne will be held Thursday, March 31, 2022 at 10:00am at Royal Palm Funeral Home, 5601 Greenwood Avenue, West Palm Beach, Fl. 33407. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am at the same location. A committal will be held at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens. A reception will occur after the committal service at Royal Palm Funeral Home.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.royalpalmfuneralhome.com for the Osbourne family.
