Maria D. Gonzalez Matias

Maria D. Matias age 86 of Royal Palm Beach, Florida passed away on April 21, 2011. Mrs. Matias was born on Autst 25, 1924 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico to the late Mr. Luiz Gonzalez & Mrs. ALberta (nee Lopez) Gonzalez. Mrs. Matias resided in Long Island, New York prior to moving to her home in Royal Palm Beach, Florida in 1979. She loved her Lord, "Our God & Father" and worshipped him at the Trinity West Church International. Besides her love for the Lord, she loved spending time with her family, friends and her loving pet chihuahuas, playing dominos, gardening, games of cards, and telling stories to her grandchildren. Mrs. Matias has joined "Our Father in Heaven" and is singing with the choirs of Angels in Heaven his majestic praises!

Survivors include her loved husband of 63 years, Fructuoso Matias, her loving & devoted children, Jose Luis (Amelia) DeLeon of Lake Worth, FL and Blanca Sylvia (Eladio) Hernandez of Royal Palm Beach, FL, and her ten adored grandchildren, Jeannie, Ricky, Roger, Cynthia, Jeffrey, Luis, Jackie, Janice, Jennifer & Diego, and her precious fourteen great grandchildren.

Friends may come to the funeral home on Friday (Tonight), April 22nd, 2011 to pay respects and visit with the family and participate in devotional prayers of hope during the visitational period from 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM. A Celebration of Life Service for Maria D. Matias will be held 10AM, Saturday, April 23rd, 2011 at Mizell-Faville-Zern Funeral Hoem & Cremation Services, 6411 Parker Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33405 with the Rev. George Rosado of the New Life Ministries officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park, West Palm Beach, FL.
