Mario Martinez-Alfonso age 84 of West Palm Beach, Florida passed away peacefully on February 20, 2013. Mario was born on May 9, 1928 in Cuba to the late Mr. Jorge Martinez-Diaz and the late Maria de las Mercedes Alfonso. He came to the United States of America in 2005 to build a better life for his family. He was a former Manager at the Venezuela Sugar Mill in Cuba for over forty plus years. Mario loved to dance the night away and charm the Ladies with his Gentlemanly ways. He was always honest, forthright, truthful and virtuous in all of his endeavors throughout life. He loved life and was the essence of all the good things that life had to offer. He will be remembered as a hard working; fair laboring on the job; steady and immovable rock for his family and friends; never outspoken toward others; always abounding in the work of the Lord. Most of all Mario always put his "Lord and Saviour first in his life and clung to his devout Catholic faith. He will be forever remembered by his loving wife, Ramona Sarduy of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; his former wife and friend, Caridad Duran of Cuba, his two loved children; Maria Eugenia Martinez and Mabel Martinez both of Cuba; his adored granddaughter, Gleisy Santiusti of West Palm Beach, FL; his two admired sisters, Noemi Martinez and Sonia Martinez both of West Palm Beach, FL; his revered brother, Dario Martinez of Lake Worth, FL; and his several nephews and niece, Javier Delacruz of West Palm Beach, FL, Damaral Martinez of Naples, FL, Ivan Martinez of Gainesville, FL and Iyunia Martinez of Lake Worth, FL. The family will hold a private Family Service at a later date to honor the memory of Mario Martinez-Alfonso.
