Mark P. Karydis went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ May 8, 2015. Born in Cairo Egypt in 1942 to father Panagiotis Karydis and mother Aliki Paraskeva. He is survived by his loving wife Eleni Papanicolaou and sons Peter and Victor along with daughters-in-law Trudy and Stacy and grandchildren Noah and Jonah. Mark spoke five languages: Greek, French, English, Italian and Arabic. In Canada he worked as a special assistant to the Secretary of State and assisted many ethnic groups in natural disasters and difficult times. He received the Commemorative Medal of the 125 Anniversary of the Confederation of Canada for his community service. He also served from 2009-2013 in the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem the Knights of Malta as the Secretary General and The Grand Prior of Florida. Mark received the Grand Cross of the Order which is the highest rank, for his service and humanitarian work. Mark loved painting oil on canvas and his work can be found in the Canadian "Guide de Roussan" 1999 and "Magizin'Art" 2000-20001 and 2006-2008. Mark will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
