Martha Ellen Markham Okerson

Martha “Ellen” Markham Okerson, 78, of North Palm Beach passed away on August 6, 2016 surrounded by her family. Ellen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother whose legacy lives on through her loving and adoring husband of 30 years Donald Okerson and her children Glen Markham Holder, Sonya Markham Pease, Edward Mitchell Markham and Mathew Okerson. She is also survived by grandchildren Rachel Marie Holder, Natalie Nicole Holder, Mitchell Markham Holder, Jessie Lauren Pease, Katie Sierra Pease, Samantha Marie Markham, Daniel Jesse Markham, Micah Ryan Okerson, Aaron Joseph Okerson, Jacob Ethan Okerson, Irina Dorosheva Sobel, and great grandchildren Sofia Sobel and Liam Sobel. She owned a nursing agency with her sisters, and later became a certified medical coder and billing administrator for her daughter’s business before retiring and becoming a full-time grandmother. She is predeceased by her sister Lilian Veverka and first husband Gerald Patterson Markham. Her faith, kindness and love of family will live on in the many lives she touched and all who knew her.

Friends will be received from 6:00PM to 8:00PM, Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at Quattlebaum Funeral, Cremation and Event Center, 6411 Parker Avenue, West Palm Beach. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00AM, Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at the First Presbyterian Church of WPB, 301 S. Olive Avenue, West Palm Beach. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
