Martin Tuchow

TUCHOW, Martin 88 passed away peacefully at his home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on January 31, 2013. He was born and raised on the west side of Chicago. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin, and after serving in the military during WWII, He went on to receive his law degree from John Marshall Law School. He began a life of politics in the early 1960's and was elected as a delegate to the Illinois Constitutional Convention in 1969. He was most remembered for his hard work and accomplishments as a prominent attorney, 48th ward committeeman, Cook County Commissioner and Chairman of Finance for the county. Martin is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Stacy, his son Tyler, his daughter, Hilary and his three grandsons Zackary, Jordan and Joey. A small service with close family and friends will be held at Westlawn Cemetery, 7801 W. Montrose Avenue, Norridge, Ill on Monday, February 4, 2013 at 12:00 p.m..
