Mary Nell Marshall Benford

Mary Nell Benford age 82 of West Palm Beach, FL passed away peacefully on March 19, 2013. She began her Earthly journey on July 11, 1930 in Sedalia, Missouri to her loving parents, Mr. William Earl Marshall and Mrs. Gladys May (nee Cooper) Marshall. In 1935, Mary moved to the Palm Beach County area with her family. In later years, she met and married the love of her life, John Benford and together they raised their six children. Mary loved to go shopping (a Shopaholic); watch a good movie with her friends and family; prepare and indulge herself with a good home cooked meal; collecting dolls to add to her large collection of dolls; and most of all spending quality time with family and friends. She was an active member of the New Life Alliance Church in West Palm Beach, Florida, where she worshipped and gave praise and thanksgiving to her "Lord & Savior", Jesus Christ. Mary will be remembered for her beautiful smile, snowy white curly hair with a butterfly barrette to adorn it and her gentle, kind and giving nature. Mary was met at the top of the stairs on the stairway leading to Heaven's Gate by her husband, John Benford; who has been patiently waiting on her since May 3rd of 1985. She was also greeted by her parents and her sister and brother, Mildred Lick and Forrest Marshall. Mary leaves behind to forever love and cherish her memory six children; Joan Broback and husband, Robert of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Jean Odell and husband, Louis of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Steven Benford of West Palm Beach, FL, Robert Benford of Royal Palm Beach, FL, Karen Benford of Miami, FL and Thomas Benford and wife, Dolly of West Palm Beach, FL; her sister, Florence Munson of Nolensville, TN; a very special niece, Alice Jean Price of North Palm Beach, FL; eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
