August 2, 1932 – July 11, 2026
Our Family is saddened to announce the passing of Nola Nagler of West Palm Beach, FL, on July 11, 2026, just shy of her 94th birthday.
Nola was born in New York City on August 2, 1932, to Bessie and Arthur Dworkin, and grew up in the Bronx, the oldest of two children with her brother Henry ("Bruz").
Nola married Arthur Nagler when she was twenty. In 1959, following the birth of their first two daughters, Nola and Arthur left Queens for Pahokee, FL, where Arthur worked as a produce broker with farmers in the Glades. Nola and Arthur went on to raise four daughters — Randee, Alys, Andra, and Faryl.
In Pahokee, Nola became a pillar of the community — volunteering as a Pink Lady at Everglades Hospital, teaching underprivileged children to read, lecturing for Weight Watchers, leading Girl Scouts, and serving as president of the Pahokee High School Band. Together with Arthur, she helped build Temple Beth Shalom in Belle Glade, dedicating more than forty years as the temple's "first lady" while Arthur served as President. After the family later moved to West Palm Beach, Nola continued that same devotion at Temple Beth El.
Nola was predeceased by her husband of over 70 years, Arthur Nagler.
Nola is survived by her four daughters, Randee, Alys (Steve), Andra, and Faryl (Mark); grandchildren Jenna (Adam), Risa (Matt), Joshua (fiancée Meghan), and Leah; great-grandchildren Brynn, Reed, Asher, and Margot; her brother Henry "Bruz" (Joyce); and nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Funeral arrangements are at Royal Palm Funeral Home, located at 5601 Greenwood Avenue, at 11:00 AM on July 14, 2026, followed by Shiva at the home of Steve and Alys.
