Oscar Antonio Diaz Godinez

Conocer a Oscar Díaz, fue comprender que estabas en presencia de la bondad, la humildad, la paciencia y el amor. Oscar nació el 10 de noviembre de 1953 en Managua, Nicaragua. Fue uno de los 12 hijos de Humberto y María Díaz.

Mientras crecía, a Oscar le encantaba la vida agrícola. Aprendió a cultivar plantas de todas las variedades, desde mangos hasta carambola, aguacates, limones, pimientos y muchas más. Su alegría estaba en compartir los frutos de su trabajo con su familia, amistades y vecinos. La pasión de Oscar por la agricultura duraría toda la vida.

En 1974, Oscar conoció a una hermosa joven llamada Ernestina Boza que luego se convertiría en su esposa y compañera de toda la vida. Se casaron el 14 de junio de 1975 y su hermosa unión duraría 48 años, llenos de amor, respeto y unidad. Estas mismas cualidades, que tanto Oscar como Ernestina inculcaron en su familia, proporcionaron una base sólida que luego se transmitiría a las generaciones futuras. A lo largo de sus vidas, sin importar las circunstancias, su atención siempre fue su familia.

Oscar y Ernestina salieron de Nicaragua a finales de los años 1980 y comenzaron una vida con su familia en Estados Unidos, donde se ubicaron en Florida con sus hijos Erving, Oscar, Yadixa y David. Fue aquí donde Oscar se convirtió en un experto en el campo de la albañilería y creó hermosos diseños prefabricados que ahora adornan muchos hogares en todo el sur de Florida.

A lo largo de su vida, Oscar tuvo la capacidad de hacer sonreír a la gente con solo su presencia. Le encantaba pasar tiempo con su familia y amistades. Oscar siempre fue cariñoso, compasivo y generoso. Estaba feliz de ayudar a los necesitados y era una gran fuente de consuelo y seguridad para quienes lo rodeaban. Incluso en años posteriores, cuando Oscar atravesaba pruebas personales, todavía se podía contar con él para esas sonrisas características y conversaciones reconfortantes. Siempre mantuvo a su familia fuerte y unida, y continuó pasando tiempo con sus hijos y nietos en cada oportunidad de la vida.

Oscar fue precedido en la muerte por su hijo Erving Díaz, sus padres, Humberto y María Díaz, y sus hermanos Esperanza, Julio y Adán. Le sobreviven su amada esposa Ernestina Díaz, sus hijos, Oscar Díaz (Kerry Diaz), Yadixa Alvarez (Hugo Alvarez) y David Diaz (Natalie Diaz); sus nietos, Isabella, Oscar, Jeremiah, Giovanni, Kaleb y Leilanni; sus hermanos Mercedes, Adela, David, Teresa, Berta, Rafael, y Enrique, juntos con muchas sobrinas, sobrinos , familiares y amistades amorosos.

To know Oscar Diaz, was to understand that you were in the presence of kindness, humbleness, patience and love. Oscar was born on November 10, 1953 in Managua, Nicaragua. He was one of 12 children born to Humberto and Maria Diaz.

Growing up, Oscar had a love for farm life. He learned to grow plants in all varieties, from mangos to star fruit, avocados, lemons, peppers and so many more. His joy was in sharing the fruits of his labor with his family, friends and neighbors. Oscar’s passion for agriculture would go on to last a lifetime.

In 1974, Oscar met a beautiful young woman by the name of Ernestina Boza that would later become his wife and life-long partner. They married on June 14, 1975, and their beautiful union would go on to last 48 years, one filled with love, respect and unity. These very qualities, that both Oscar and Ernestina instilled in their family, provided a strong foundation that would later be passed down to future generations. Throughout their lives, no matter the circumstances, their focus was always their family.

Oscar and Ernestina left Nicaragua in the late 1980’s and began a life with their family in the United States, where they settled in Florida with their children Erving, Oscar, Yadixa and David. It is here that Oscar became an expert in the field of masonry and created beautiful precast designs that now adorn many homes throughout South Florida.

Throughout his life, Oscar had the ability to make people smile just by being present in a room. He loved to spend time with his family and friends. Oscar was always loving, compassionate and generous. He was always happy to help those in need and was a huge source of comfort and security to those around him. Even in later years, when Oscar was going through personal trials, he could still be counted on for those trademark smiles and comforting talks. He always kept his family strong and united, and continued spending time with his children and grandchildren in every opportunity of life.

Oscar was predeceased by his son Erving Diaz, parents, Humberto and Maria Diaz, and siblings Esperanza, Julio, and Adan. He is survived by his loving wife Ernestina Diaz, children, Oscar Diaz (Kerry Diaz), Yadixa Alvarez (Hugo Alvarez), and David Diaz (Natalie Diaz); his grandchildren, Isabella, Oscar, Jeremiah, Giovanni, Kaleb, and Leilanni; his siblings Mercedes, Adela, David, Teresa, Berta, Rafael, and Enrique, along with many loving relatives and friends.

A visitation for Oscar will be held Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral, Cremation, and Event Center, 6411 Parker Ave, West Palm Beach, FL 33405. A funeral service will occur Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 6411 Parker Ave, West Palm Beach, FL 33405, followed by a committal service Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 6411 Parker Ave, West Palm Beach, FL 33405.
