Born in Puerto Rico in 1933 where he grew up and later joined the army. After his discharge he moved to Key West to join his sister and her husband. He went to Cuba in 1960 where he first saw, fell in love with and shortly after married the love of his life. They returned to Key West to start their family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his son Raymond Vega Jr, his granddaughter Kira Mendez her daughter Isabella Vega and his grandson Raymond Vega III, his wife Elizabeth Vega and their daughter Arya Vega and Ramon’s daughter Catherine Vega. He also leaves behind brothers, sisters and many nephews, nieces and god children.
