On July 17, 1967, in the town of Léogâne, Haiti, a precious baby boy was born to the late Alexcin D’Haiti and Emma Louis-Jean. A cherished gift, he was the second eldest of their children and was given the name Raymond D’Haiti. His early years were surrounded by the warmth, laughter, and companionship of many siblings. On December 9, 2025, Raymond peacefully departed this life, leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion, and selfless service.
In the 1980s, Raymond embarked on a new chapter, relocating from Haiti to Belle Glade, Florida, where he continued his education and laid the foundation for a lasting legacy. He attended and graduated from Glades Central High School, where his peers recognized his charm and leadership, voting him Prom King. A gifted artist and talented cook, Raymond also had a deep love for music—especially the distinctive music of Joseph D. Larose—and a joyful talent for mimicking Donald Duck and his beloved father.
Following his studies, Raymond spent several years in Virginia before returning to Florida to reunite with his mother and siblings. He devoted more than 20 years as a saw operator at Marine Exhaust and also worked for several years as a stocker at Publix Supermarket. Raymond gave of himself freely and faithfully, working multiple jobs to ensure that his family was cared for, often placing their needs before his own.
Raymond was a devoted son, brother, uncle, and father, and nothing brought him greater joy than time spent with those he loved. Known as the family historian, Raymond took great pride in preserving memories, sharing vivid stories, and recounting cherished details of earlier times, keeping the family’s history alive for generations to come. His passion for working on cars reflected his patience and skills. In his later years, Raymond constructed his retirement home in Haiti, a place of deep personal meaning and connection.
Raymond married Nadege Cajuste in Léogâne, Haiti, and together they were blessed with four children: Giovani, Rheana, and twin daughters, Anna and Anael D’Haiti. He was also a loving stepfather to Rose Nadege and Jean Wilson Midy, whom he embraced as his own.
Raymond leaves to cherish his memory his children and stepchildren; his devoted mother, Emma Louis-Jean; his nieces, nephews, and great-nephews; his siblings Wilner D’Haiti, Michelet D’Haiti, Rosemae Mitchell, Darlina D’Haiti, and Billy D’Haiti; along with more than 15 additional brothers and sisters on his father’s side. He was preceded in death by his father, Alexcin D’Haiti, and his brother, René D’Haiti.
A Celebration of Life will take place at Jehovah Shalom Baptist Church located at 2120 Avenue S. Riviera Beach, FL 33404 on January 24, 2026, starting at 11:00 am. The committal service will be conducted at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery, 10941 Southern Blvd, Royal Palm Beach, FL, 33411, on January 24, 2026, at 1:30 pm.
