Rigoberto Salazar

Rigoberto Salazar began his earthly journey in Santa Clara, Cuba on July 30, 1942. In 1993 Rigoberto left Cuba and moved to the United States of America settling in California to find a working opportunity to do better for himself and his family. He then moved to Mississippi to work with Tyson Foods Corporation as a lineman packing boxes and preparing foods. He continued working with the Tyson Food Corporation for eleven years and in 2004 Rigoberto moved his family from Mississippi to Florida to set up his new home where he has resided ever since. Rigoberto gained in employment with the Winn-Dixie Corporation working at one of the West Palm Beach locations as a food stocker for the past eight years. Rigoberto loved to take his nephew fishing; playing Dominos with his friends and family; playing Lotto and hoping to win that "Big Jackpot"; and planting and gardening in his yard, growing succulent vegetables and beautiful flowering plants. The Good Lord called his name from the book of life on August 13, 2012 and he began his heavenly pilgrimage to see God. Rigoberto is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Yolanda Noy of West Palm Beach, FL; two brothers and two sisters still in Cuba; his sisters-in-law, Aleida Noy of West Palm Beach, FL and Migdalia Noy of West Palm Beach, FL; his brother-in-law, Romareco Ramos of West Palm Beach, FL; his niece, Aleida Ramos of West Palm Beach, FL; his nephew, Guillermo Carrasco of West Palm Beach, FL; his close friends, Maria Rabelo of West Palm Beach, FL and Danny Mujica of Miami, FL. Guillermo will be remembered for his warm heart, friendly smile, giving nature and his "Happy Go Lucky" spirit. A private family service will be held by his family at a later date in his hometown of Santa Clara, Cuba where his cremated remains will be taken home for burial.
