Roberto Juan Real was born in Santiago de Cuba, in December 1944. In 1959 his family fled Cuba and the communist regime. They came to America with nothing, but saw the opportunity America presented with hard work. Dad grew up country line dancing and driving fast cars. His love of speed continued as he began motor-cross, even earning the number one plate. Then, he went on to race catamarans and various sailboats. Dad chose a trade, plumbing, and worked his way from apprentice, to receiving his plumbing license, and then becoming a master plumber. Dad thought that any job worth doing, was worth doing right. This work ethic helped him as he became a business owner, and plumbing contractor. Dad invested his time into his work, family, Royal Rangers and our church, Trinity. Through these investments he has impacted many lives. He is survived by three sons, Robert, Derek and Shawn Real, and his daughter Kali DeVries. He also leaves eight grandchildren to cherish his memory. He is loved and he will be missed.

Dad,
Your one and only daughter here, I just wanted to say that you are loved and missed so much already. The boys keep asking if we can go see Wowo and I let me know we can’t. They responded with “Oh yeah, Wowo is in heaven with Jesus.”

Cassandra, Brent Jr. Chase and Kyle love you so much, as well as, Brent and I.

Love you old man!

Love Your Daughter,
Kali De Vries
