Rudy Parrado, aged 76, passed away on July 6, 2026, in Wellington, Florida. Born on March 25, 1950, Rudy was a beacon of kindness and generosity, known for his deep faith and commitment to his family and community.

Rudy leaves behind his beloved wife of 49 years, Izzy, their sons Marcelo (Rayne) and Alejandro (Charne'ce), granddaughters Amari, Isabella, Gabriella, and Alani. He is also survived by brother-in-law Francisco Perdomo (Rayda), Eddie Sanchez (Maria) cousin. Rudy was preceded in death by his parents, Rodolfo and Hilda Parrado.

Rudy's early education was completed at Woodward Military Academy in Georgia, followed by earning a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Florida in 1972. He then dedicated over five decades to the agriculture industry, specializing in sugar cane production and chemical sales. His career began post his arrival in 1962, as part of the Peter Pan children exodus, working with esteemed companies such as Closter Farms, Okeelanta Sugar, Terra Intl., Helena, and Florida Crystals. Rudy was revered for his profound knowledge of the harvest cycle and his dedication to mentoring aspiring cane farmers.

Aside from his professional life, Rudy was a congregant of Palms West Presbyterian Church in Loxahatchee, Florida. His faith played a significant role in his life, guiding him as a husband, father , and community member.

Rudy was also passionate about sports, particularly everything related to the University of Florida Gators. He invested time coaching his sons, Cello and Alex, in various team sports and loved driving his granddaughters to their practices. Rudy's generosity extended beyond his family, as he was always eager to share his expertise in agriculture with colleagues and friends, not for financial gain but for the sheer joy of helping others.

Rudy Parrado will be remembered as a kind-hearted protector, a humble and dedicated man who lived his life with immense love and care for others. His legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate to know him. He was a Sower of men (Ecclesiastes 3:2), leaving behind extended family, cherished colleagues, and childhood friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Quattlebaum Funeral, Cremation, and Event Center, 6411 Parker Ave, West Palm Beach, FL 33405, US, on Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
