Born in Orange Township, Ohio, he was the son of the late Ellsworth and Rosevlyn [Miller] Shoffner, raised in the Shelby County Children's Home in Sydney, Ohio and attended local schools.
He was a United States Navy veteran and was a member of the 1st. Church of the Nazarene in West Palm Beach for over 40 years.
Prior to his retirement he was employed at Palm Beach County's Road and Bridge Division.
He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Wanda Shoffner.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Connie Shoffner, sons, Wade J Shoffner and Joshua W. Shoffner, daughter, Jennifer L. Shoffner, all of West Palm Beach, daughter, Robin Jacobs, her children and grandchildren of Ohio and sister, Diane Cotton of Georgia.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 pm on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at the 1st Church of the Nazarene, 5601 Forest Hill Boulevard, West Palm Beach, Florida 33415.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the 1st Church of the Nazarene at the above address in Roger's honor.
