Rose S. Rubin

Age 103 years, of West Palm Beach Florida, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday November 10, 2012.

Born in Jersey City, New Jersey on February 6th 1909 to Rachel and Abraham Sorin. Rose attended the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy, and was the first woman pharmacist in the Commonwealth of Massachsetts.

Rose was the beloved wife of Sidney Rubin for 63 years. He predeceased her in 1998. She is the loving mother of Arnold (Adrienne) Rubin of Sudbury, Massachusetts, Baylie (Dr. Marvin) Rosenberg of Palm Beach, and George Rubin of Cupertino, California.

Cherished grandmother of the Honorable Robin Rosenberg (Michael McAuliffe) of West Palm Beach, Dr. Gary Rosenberg (Dr. Julie Ma) of Los Angeles, Jamie Rosenberg (Lisa) of Miami, Florida, Denise Stern (Tom) of New York City, and Faryl Sandler (Jon) of Wayland Massachusetts.

Adored Great Grandmother of 13 grandchildren , Sydney, Madison, and Adin McAuliffe, Naomi, Hanna, and Sofia Rosenberg, Ivy, Reid, and Nica Rosenberg, Samantha and Tyler Stern, and Mykayla and Lev Sandler. Much appreciation is given to her dedicated caregivers of many years, Elsa Johnson, Adina Spence, Marlene Morris, and Marcia Harris, all of whom contributed to her longevity with their care and love.

Rose was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. All who came into contact with her were drawn to her warm smile, loving personality, and caring nature.

A private family graveside service is planned at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens on Friday, November 16th.
