Roseanne Sloan

Roseanne Annette Sloan (DeLapp), 80, of North Palm Beach Florida, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, following a short illness.

Roseanne was born in Auburn, NY, on April 21, 1944, to the late Lloyd and Carrie (Sayre) Delapp and was one of eight siblings. Roseanne moved to Florida with her husband Howard and daughter Kim; in January 1971. She spent a good part of her working life in food service but found her calling working at Publix as a store trainer and retired from Publix, following 19 years of service. Roseanne had countless friends and enjoyed socializing and meeting new people. She was the life of every party and had a smile for everyone. She loved word searches and playing bingo and never turned down a game of cards. She truly loved life.

Roseanne is survived by her daughter Kim (Brian) and son Howard (Patty); sister, Ellie Shanahan; grandchildren, Michael (Ashley), Andrew, Michelle (Adam), Katelyn (Marcus), Chelsey (Marshall) and Buddy; great-grandchildren, James, Alaina, Jonathan, Olivia, Madilyn, Dylan, Harrison, Wade, Ridge and Sloan and many nieces and nephews. Roseanne’s husband Howard, sisters, Dorothy Malone, Carol Vezzose, Jean Coleman, and Winnie Lupo, and brothers, James and Lloyd Delapp, preceded her in death.

The family wishes to thank the nursing and critical care staff in the ICU at Palms West Hospital; your compassion and care for our mom was evident, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. To the staff at The Club at Wellington (ALF) thank you endlessly for loving our mom like your own and being her home away from home. Roseanne developed many close friendships with the residents and staff, and we are eternally grateful.

A visitation for Roseanne will be held Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral, Cremation, and Event Center, 6411 Parker Ave, West Palm Beach, FL 33405. A funeral service will occur Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM, 6411 Parker Ave, West Palm Beach, FL 33405. A graveside service will occur Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM, 6411 Parker Ave, West Palm Beach, FL 33405.

Everyone is invited to join the family for a reception at the home of Roseanne’s granddaughter Chelsey upon the completion of the services.
