Mrs. Ruby Lee Harrell
September 4, 1935 – November 21, 2019
Ruby Lee Harrell, age 84 of Riviera Beach, FL, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2019, with her family by her side. Mother Harrell was born to the late (Joe) Willie Brown Sr. and Lucille Smiley in Lynn Haven, FL. She was raised by her grandmother Alice Peke. Mother Harrell was married to the late Archie Lee Harrell on August 25, 1967. She was a devoted mother of five children. Her life was a living example of the word she constantly preached about. She instilled in her children strong values that have served us well. A few teachings that have stuck with us throughout the years were: Always do your part even if others don’t. Put your trust in God and not in man. A person’s word should always mean something and ALWAYS keep God first and do your very best. Mother Harrell was the beloved Mother of; Ruby Cleveland, Archie Harrell (Frances), Pamela Drummond, Helen Staley (Jerry) and Wanda Williams (Tobias). Mother Harrell was the Grandmother of; Meisha Gaines, LaQuisha Malcom, LaShica Malcom, Kosmoe Malcom (Keisha), Erica Blake (Jason), Robin Mobley, and Arcsheria Harrell. Mother Harrell was the Great Grandmother of; Regina Cleveland, Roneisha Gaines, Roderick Gaines, Keshawn Francois, Zayria Francois, Josiah Francois, Calvin Collins, William Butts Jr, Jeremiah Meeks, Ezekiel Malcom, Jazmine Vernon, Aniyah Vernon, Jayda Vernon, Jahiem Hinson and Alaya Coleman. A host of nieces, nephews and special friends she loved very dearly. Mother Harrell was preceded in death by her loving husband Archie Lee Harrell, three sisters: Pecola Brown Clarke, Eartha Reid, and Josephine Nelson; one brother: Joseph Brown Jr.
