With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Sandra Charlotte Goldberg, who left this world on February 10, 2025, at the age of 91, just a week after spending her birthday surrounded by those she loved. Born on February 3, 1934, in Paterson, NJ, Sandra lived a life filled with love, warmth, and devotion to her family and friends.
A talented interior decorator, Sandra spent many years transforming houses into homes, bringing comfort and beauty to those around her. But beyond her career, her greatest passion was the people in her life. She cherished time with family, whether celebrating milestones, gathering around the dinner table, or simply sharing laughter over everyday moments. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome, loved, and part of something special.
She often said that shopping was her secret to staying young. She loved a good party and any chance to gather with family and friends. She found joy in sharing stories about her parents and grandparents, keeping their memories alive, passing down cherished traditions, and ensuring that family history was never forgotten.
She had a sharp mind and a lively spirit, with a love for crossword puzzles, an uncanny ability to answer Final Jeopardy, and a fascination with astrology.
She is survived by her two beloved children, Roni Jacobs and Scott Goldberg; her six grandchildren, Lexi Ciongoli, Marvin Jacobs Jr., Hannah Goldberg, Sara Williams-Boyson, Emily Williams, and Ricky Williams; and five great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends who became family.
Sandra is now reunited with those who passed before her: her loving parents, Nate Cohen and Edith "Pat" Cohen; her brother, Harold Cohen; her sisters, Sheila Holmstock and Alice Fisher; her former husband, Howard Goldberg; her cherished son-in-law, Marvin Jacobs; and her grandson-in-law, Charles Ciongoli III.
Though she is no longer with us, the love, joy, and wisdom she shared will live on in the hearts of those she touched. May her memory be a blessing, and may we continue celebrating the life she so fully embraced.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Hillcrest Memorial Park in West Palm Beach, FL. A Celebration of her Life will follow immediately at the home of Lexi Ciongoli. If you are able to join the family for the Celebration of Life immediately following the Graveside Service, please reach out to Lexi at 561-460-8651.
In honor of Sandra’s lifelong spirit of generosity and her belief in empowering young women, donations may be made in her memory to Girl Scouts of the USA.
