ROSENFELD, Sara age 90 of Boca Raton and Brooklyn, died on December 26th. She was the loving mother of Paul (Lenni) Rosenfeld; Dear sister of Joli (Joseph) Goldstein; Cherished grandmother of Jason (Kim) Rosenfeld, Jamie (Timothy) O'Shea, Scott (Gladis) Fox, and Robyn (Jared) Newman; adored great grandmother of Eva and Cara Rosenfeld, Sofia Fox, and Brittany and Dylan Newman; and her beloved companion Louis Miller.
She survived the Holocaust concentration camps then went back to Hungary and quickly met and married Dezso. In December of 1956 during the final days of the Hungarian revolution the family was scapegoated and attacked by townspeople for being Jewish. The family immigrated to Brooklyn in 1957. Within a few years they opened a fruit store in Brighton Beach where she and her husband worked hard and long hours building a new life. She was a very generous person who helped anyone in need. She supported and donated to many Jewish causes. Sara loved her family very much. She was a member of the Avenue Z Jewish Center of Brooklyn for over 40 years.
