Sarah R. Brigman

Sarah Anna Brigman (Roberts) left this world for one of peace, on April 22, 2016 at midnight. Sarah passed as she lived, in peace and in His presence. She is predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Marvin Joseph Brigman. Sarah was born in Chattanooga, TN on April 14, 1921. She came to Lake Worth in 1924, where she attended and graduated from Lake Worth High School, Class of 1940. After graduating, she returned to Chattanooga where she met and married the dashing Coast Guardsman, Marvin. They returned to the Palm Beaches after World War II eventually settling on Maddock Street where they raised their family. The loved ones she leaves behind are many and will miss her and cherish her memory. She is survived by her children Col. Marvin Brigman (Carla) of Shalimar, FL, Sandra Lawson (Barry) of West Palm Beach, William Brigman (Joanne) of Greenville, SC; her grandchildren Lt. Col. William Brigman of Baton Rouge, LA, Bonnie Kerker (Jim) of El Segundo, CA, Capt. Andrew Brigman (Caitlyn) of North Pole, AK, Matthew Brigman of Bonifay, FL, Kimberly Lawson (Travis) of Silver Spring, MD, Mary Ann O'Donnell of West Palm Beach, Harold Brigman (Danielle) of Denver, CO and eleven great-grandchildren. Sarah spent many years unselfishly volunteering for Good Samaritan Hospital, JFK, and Doctor's Hospital in Lake Worth, where she spearheaded the campaign for Children's Car Seats and Child Seat Belt Laws. She also spent many enjoyable years working as the Red Cross volunteer at Forest Hill High School and at The Red Balloon Consignment Shop. She was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in West Palm Beach where she spent hours volunteering her services, wherever needed, and will be dearly missed by her spiritual family.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 6 at 11:00AM at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 211 Trinity Place, West Palm Beach, followed by a reception, celebrating Sarah's life, to be held in the Holy Trinity Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, please direct donations to the Holy Trinity Youth Program.
