

Susan Claire MacPherson died peacefully on March 27, 2022 after a year-long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends in her last days. She is survived by her sister, Cheryl MacPherson, her children, Christopher (Nadia) and Alexander (Maddison) DiSchino, her granddaughter, Avery, nephews John, James and Jeff Cosimelli, her horse, Sprinkles, and her loving canine companion, C.J.
She was the daughter of the late James B. and Claire L. (Thibodeau) MacPherson. She is also predeceased by her brothers Allan J. MacPherson and Glenn R. MacPherson, and sister Laurie (MacPherson) Cosimelli.
Susan was born and raised in Beverly, Massachusetts and moved to Palm Beach, Florida in 1981. Susan owned and operated Beautè Therapies, a successful medical spa and anti-aging clinic. She received her Master’s Degree in Metabolic and Nutritional Medicine, her Master of Science in Nursing and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Her specialty was in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery, as a Registered Nurse First Assistant and Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist.
She received her designation as a Certified Plastic Surgery Nurse in 1989 and over her more-than-thirty-year career, underwent extensive training in anti-aging therapies. Susan was tireless in her studies and earned a reputation as one of the best in her field, due to her mastery of aesthetic injections, laser technologies, and care given to each of her patients. Her philosophy was to enhance and restore beauty.
Susan was an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, American Academy of Anti-Aging, American Nurses Credentialing Center, Florida Nurses Association, and International Society of Plastic and Aesthetic Nurses.
Over the years, Susan donated countless time assisting with facial reconstructive surgery for children, especially orphans, and spent her summers donating her time and medical expertise to orphanages and cleft lip clinics in the Ukraine. Through her work with Universal Aid for Children of Ukraine, Susan made an impact on the lives of countless children. Susan also supported Harvest Hands Ministries, which aims to create a loving environment where the poor and destitute people of Mexico may find comfort and solace, both physically and spiritually through various programs, with an emphasis on the needs of children.
Susan was an entrepreneur, a teacher, a lover of travel, and a compassionate and caring friend to many who will miss her dearly. Outside of her accomplished career, Susan was a woman with numerous talents, skills, and a stunning sense of humor. She was an avid equestrian and had a passion for cultivating orchids in her greenhouse. She enjoyed spending summers at her vacation home in Essex. Massachusetts. At home, she loved spending her days poolside with her family and her evenings curled up on her couch with a box of Milk Duds and a romantic comedy. Her weekends and afternoons were spent riding and visiting with friends and family.
The family would like to express their most sincere gratitude to the Itty-Bitty Susie Committee (you all know who you are), her countless friends from Massachusetts, her loyal colleagues and employees Lisa Goodwin, Judy Myers, Jacky Cruz, and all of her dearest friends, who upon her return to Florida, were by her side during the most difficult of times. She will be remembered for her ageless beauty and the many wonderful gifts she brought to all those whose life she touched.
Her Celebration of Life will be held at the Quattlebaum Event Center located at 5411 Okeechobee Boulevard, West Palm Beach, Florida 33417 on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, from 5:00-7:00 PM.
