Mrs. Sylvia H. May passed away peacefully, on October 11, 2019. In Lake Worth, Florida, at the age of 99. Sylvia is survived by her children, Philip and his wife Rosa, Mike and his wife, Terrie, Linda and her husband Rick. Sylvia predeceased her brother, Jack and sister in Law Marilyn Hoffman and her many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. Born July 24, 1920 in Ellenville, New York, to Max and Eva Hoffman. She graduated from Ellenville High School. She married the love of her life, Herbert S. May of May’s Food Center, West Palm Beach, Florida on December 25, 1949. Her Children remember her as a loving, caring mother, who encouraged them to pursue their goals. She was active, a dedicated member of Palm Beach County Democratic party and often volunteered at the Gateway Club for mentally challenged children. A funeral is scheduled for Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at Quattlebaum Funeral Home, 6411 Parker Ave. West Palm Beach, Florida 33405, at 12pm, with reception to follow at the same location. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Sylvia’s life. In Lieu of flowers, please send donations to Trustbridge Inc, a Hospice of West Palm Beach, 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, Florida 33407.
