Terri Melanie Mahoney

Today, we celebrate the life and legacy of Terri Melanie Mahoney, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend whose kindness, faith, and thoughtfulness touched everyone who knew her. Born on January 5, 1964, in Hartford, Connecticut, Terri was raised in South Florida, where her love of learning was evident from an early age. She attended Charles Drew Elementary School in Miami and was selected for the county’s very first gifted program. She later graduated from North Shore High School in 1981. Terri continued her education at Miami Dade College and Nova Southeastern University, where she majored in Psychology. Throughout her career, she worked in banking, as a mortgage broker, and with the Broward County Sheriff's Department, earning the respect of colleagues and friends alike through her professionalism and dedication.

A woman of strong faith, Terri lived her life with grace, compassion, and generosity. She never forgot a birthday, anniversary, or special occasion, always finding a way to make others feel loved and remembered. Her favorite color was purple, a fitting reflection of the strength and dignity she carried throughout her life.

Terri was preceded in death by her father, James B. Mahoney, and her sister, Bonita Inez Carroll. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving mother, Carolyn Mahoney Carroll; her brother, William Carroll; her sister, Shantel Fitzgerald; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.

Terri departed this life on May 13, 2026. While her passing was untimely, the love she shared, the faith she carried, and the countless lives she touched will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

A Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026 from 9am-11am at Royal Palm Funeral Home located at 5601 Greenwood Avenue, West Palm Beach, Florida 33407. A Celebration of Life will follow at 11:00 am at the same location. A Committal Service will occur at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens located at 5601 Greenwood Avenue, West Palm Beach, Florida 33407.
