

Virginia Jackson, age 89, of West Palm Beach, FL, formerly of Palm City and Lake Clarke Shores, FL passed away peacefully on Friday, July 22, 2016. Virginia was born in Saginaw, AR on February 8, 1927 to the late William Cheshier and Mrs. Dora
(nee Mitchell) Cheshier. Mrs. Jackson graduated from Arkansas Baptist State Hospital School of Nursing in Little Rock with her R.N. in 1948. Work at the V.A. Hospital took her to Houston, TX where she met her future husband on a blind date. Mrs. Jackson moved to Lake Clarke Shores with her husband, Clark, and two of their children in 1959. She attended church with her family at the First United Methodist Church of West Palm Beach, and later at the First United Methodist Church of Stuart. Virginia and Clark celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary weeks before he predeceased her in 2010. Over the years she served as a Sunday School Superintendent, was active in the United Methodist Women, was a “pink lady” at Good Samaritan Hospital, worked for the Visiting Nurses Association, and volunteered at Warfield Elementary in Indiantown as well as the Red Cross of Martin County. Virginia leaves behind her children, Marsha Jackson of North Palm Beach, Keith (Cynthia) Jackson of Wellington, Melissa (Jeff) Massey of Elkton, MD and Kerry Jackson of Palm Beach Gardens; her grandchildren, Brooke and Bradley Jackson; a brother, Robert Cheshier of Grants Pass, OR, and a sister, Lorene Horn of Katy, TX. Friends may visit and pay their respects to the family of Virginia from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at the QUATTLEBAUM FUNERAL, CREMATION & EVENT CENTER at HILLCREST , 6411 Parker Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33405. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 28, 2016 at St. Peter’s United Methodist Church 12200 West Forest Hill Blvd., Wellington, FL 33414.
