

Born on February 2, 1939, in Cairo, Egypt, Dr. Mirhom dedicated his life to education, scientific discovery, and the advancement of pharmaceutical and botanical research, as well as numerous publications and patents in his name. He began his distinguished academic career as a professor at Cairo University School of Pharmacy, where he inspired generations of students through his passion for science and learning. He later continued his academic work in the United States as a professor at the University of Kansas, in Lawrence KS.
Dr. Mirhom’s professional journey culminated in his role as Chief Scientific Officer at Bio-Botanica, where he made significant contributions to the field of botanical science and natural product research. He remained a respected leader and innovator until his retirement.
Beyond his many professional accomplishments, Dr. Mirhom will be remembered for his wisdom, dedication, kindness, and unwavering commitment to his family. He leaves behind a legacy of excellence that touched countless colleagues, students, and friends throughout the world.
He is survived by his loving wife, Therese Mirhom; his son, Mr. Nagi Wissa, who is a pharmacist and owner of Lake Mahopac Pharmacy, and daughter-in-law, Gina Wissa; and his daughter, Nevin Wissa. Dr. Mirhom is survived by his brother Eng. Fouad and wife Margret, and daugher Marie who reside with their families in Canada, and his Brother Dr. Raouf and wife Suzette, son Mina and daughter Marie Rose who reside with their families in Melbourne Australia.

A Committal Service will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 6411 Parker Ave, West Palm Beach, FL 33405, US, on June 19, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm.
