

Anna Mae entered this world on September 6, 1923, and was welcomed by her parents, Earl and Florence (Smith) Moudy. She was united in marriage to Grant Franklin Williams on December 28, 1941, at the home of her parents, and she and Grant enjoyed over 72 years together.
Anna Mae was a member of the First Christian Church at West Salem. She was a homemaker who thoroughly enjoyed decorating and making her home a place of beauty and relaxation. Anna Mae also worked outside her home as a postal service worker at the West Salem Post Office for twenty years and served as assistant to the post master for a few of those years. She was an expert at the needle handwork called “hardanger” and made beautiful pieces for family, close friends and also to compliment church furnishings. Everything dear to her fell into one of three categories: church, family and home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband , one sister, Joanne Hayes and a son-in-law, John Boewe.
She is survived by her three daughters: Judy (Darrell) Lau of Tulsa, OK, Jean (Edward) Rothrock of West Salem, IL and Jennie (Michael) Ashburn of Foristell, MO, one sister, Nelda Rae Williams of Jackson, TN, one sister-in-law, Rachel Jackson of Joshua, TX, 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 4 step-great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 from 6 to 8 PM at the First Christian Church in West Salem, IL. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10Am on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at the church. Burial will follow at the Moravian Cemetery.
