Eldon B Nielson

Born April 19th 1947 - August 7th, 2023

Brian passed away at home with his loving wife Francie, kids, and Grand/Great Grandchildren by his side.

Brian was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Say Saints, worked and retired from the University of Utah after 40 years. When Brian wasn’t at the U of U or doing jobs for his construction business he was up at the Cabin. He built the cabin 1 extra dollar at a time. We spent a lot of time at the cabin as a family always having lots of fun sledding, snowmobiling, 4wheeling, hiking and the list goes on.

He was always happy helping others out especially when it came to his kids. When Brian met his first grandson minutes after being born he became a very proud Popie and the best Popie his kids could have asked for.

Brian leaves behind Francie, the love of his life and partner of 54 years, his children Laurie (John) Atkins, Eldon “Bryce” (Milena) Nielson, Lacie (Brad) Draper, 7 Grandkids, 11 Great Grandkids and many nieces and nephews.

Brian is proceeded in death by his parents, in-laws and grandsons Jaydin Kyle Atkins & Eldon Gage Nielson.

Brian was larger than life to his family and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
